When you awaken in the morning, do you create your day or do you let it just happen?
One of the Wisdom practices that students of the Core Wisdom 3-Day Course learn is called, "Creating the Day."
This simple yet powerful process is the act of being present to your Self as an expression of the Infinite I, and generating your relationship with the day from your personal Life Principle®. This is not an intellectual or rote exercise. It is a practice in receiving and creating that resonates down through the causal dimension to the energetic dimension to the cellular and molecular levels of a human being.
Many Wisdom traditions follow versions of this practice. Why? Because it is a way of generating your day from the principle behind all creation in the universe, "the visible unfolds from the invisible." This principle is always at play. Its dynamics are known in the mystic Kabbalah as the Four Worlds of Creation. It is happening all the time, consciously or unconsciously. If we don't, with awareness, be present to who we are and the day we are about to manifest, then the circumstances, our history, and societal conditioning will do it for us.
From speaking to many Core Wisdom participants over the years since the first Core Wisdom course in 1997, what I find to be consistent is that those who practice "Creating the Day" seem to be able to more rapidly integrate and live from their created Life Principle and the other Core Wisdom principles in ways that transform every aspect of their lives, and to do it with a power and mastery that is lacking in those who do not embrace and engage with the principles daily. Each day, they commit themselves to live from the reality of the I AM Presence within. Mastery unfolds itself in their shift from knowing the principles, to practicing the principles, to BEING the principles 24/7. As their Light shines ever more brightly, they experience that they are the author, producer, director and actor of their inner state of Being at every moment.
Each of us is a unique expression of Infinite Spirit, and the Four Worlds of Creation are our template of bringing forth form from formlessness. We can find our true Self in the First World of Creation ---- Origination. We are I AM Awareness itself. We have the capacity to receive the infinite wisdom of which we are an expression. We have the capacity to bring forth and create ourselves, our lives and our world. It is not already given. It is all malleable.
Knowing our true nature in the First World, what we create in the Second World --- Creation --- where causality and our personal Field of Being exist, unfolds itself into vision, possibility, imagination, dreams, form and action in the Third World of Formation. Finally, it completes its fulfillment in the Fourth World---the world of physical Manifestation.
I invite you to carve out for yourself a sacred time each morning; a time of silence to go within to your inner temple with gratitude and blessing, and connect with the creative Presence that is the only true creative power. It is the power that creates the universe. It is the power that allows Love to flow. It is, in fact, Love itself.
Whether you allocate 10 minutes, 30 minutes or longer, give yourself the gift of Being that will resonate through the day. It is the gift from which compassion, joy, inner peace and what the Buddhists call, "right action," will flow.
And one day, the practice will dissolve, because you are BEING it at all times.
